The Project

The ‘Park’ will be fully self sufficient in terms of green energy provided by environmentally sustainable sources.

‘Planning in Principle’ has been obtained and a final detailed design of the site to accommodate a hydrogen distribution centre is currently in the process of being submitted under the existing consent.

Project solar Hy2Go

Layout

The proposed facility has been positioned to suit the contextual constraints of the site including a
wind turbine easement, solar farm and a future battery storage facility.

The site lies within the county of South Lanarkshire and is located approximately 30 miles south of Glasgow.

The property can be accessed directly from the B7078 Carlisle road, the entrance to the site is located approximately 1.5 miles north of the M74 junction 11, thus offering easy access to the Motorway network.

The proposed site access is from a new junction located to the north west of the facility accessed directly from Carlisle Road. The proposed access
road approaches the facility on the northern end. It has been positioned relative to the site contours to lessen the impact on the ground and site topography.

Process & Function

The internal process equipment informs the massing of the facility as well as the circulation and spatial zones. Thus allowing the zones to take their own different forms.
